As always, a 5 star experience. I’ve been coming here for years and we miss this joint dearly. You just can’t find tacos like this in Kentucky. The place is hidden inside a grocery store and really is hard to find. You have to know about them. The service is friendly and the food come out quick and fast. Love their cute ambience as well.

Highly recommended hidden restaurant within a grocery store. These tacos are the best I have ever had in my life; not an exaggeration.
I purchased three tacos, two chorizo and one steak, all with added avocado ($0.50 extra per taco). Cemitas Puebla was my go-to restaurant on the west side, but this place blows it away, its not even close. The price of a taco ranges from $2-$3, but like I said, get avocado added.
Restaurant is open from 8am-8pm all tacos are made to order.

This place is a hidden jewel, with amazing tacos in the back of a grocery store. You get so much food for the money and staff are super friendly. Very highly recommended.

A hidden gem in wicker park ( well, not so hidden since it’s right on Ashland Ave) but I never knew about the restaurant inside.
These are, by far….. THE BEST TACOS in the city! We love the chicken but the barbacoa is incredible. You know it’s going to be great when there’s a line at 10am in the morning!
Def stop in and get your taco fix on. You will not be disappointed.

Tortas! This hidden gem was right around the corner from my Airbnb spot.(It may have just moved from the California Street location because they are on Ashland in Wicker Park). Being in town for business, I didn’t have the time to cook. So, I went there twice during the week and regret not going there more often. I had the chicken, carnitas and carne asada tacos. They were good but the CARNE ASADA TORTA was amazing! It had the perfect amount of meat (tons of it), lettuce and mayo. Paired with their hot sauce, it was a perfect balance of savory and spicy. And I know that this IS the place because I noticed all the construction workers and locals were ordering the same thing. Go here. Better yet, don’t, because I want this place all to myself.
